A million young people in Britain are out of work and education. Suicide is the biggest killer of men under fifty. Sherrie wants politicians to take this seriously.

Young men and boys are falling behind in Britain.
A million young people are not in work or education, and most of them are men. White working class boys have been the lowest performing group in our schools for fifteen years.
Suicide is the biggest killer of men under fifty in Britain. Mental health waiting lists are at record highs.
"Nobody lobbies for these boys, so politicians leave them to one side."
I have a young son, and I want him to grow up in a country that looks after its boys.
What Sherrie is calling for
- A male suicide prevention strategy with ring-fenced funding, clear targets and someone accountable for meeting them
- White working class boys made a named educational priority, with targeted intervention programmes in underperforming schools
- Apprenticeship and vocational routes funded on the same basis as university, so practical careers get the same respect
- Mental health waiting times for men cut to a maximum of four weeks, with same-day crisis support available in every constituency
- Outcomes for young men tracked and reported publicly, as they are for other groups
